A lion tombstone (Shir-e sangi in Persian), a form of Iranian nomadic gravestone that represents bravery. They are mostly found in southwest Iran in Zagros Mountains. Here photographed in Kuhrang, Chaharmahal Bakhtiari province. The last Asiatic Lion in Iran (Persian Lion) was seen in 1942.
