The night sky above the chain of volcanoes near the town of San Pedro de Atacama in northern Chile, at the Bolivia border. Mars, as its opposition with the Earth (closest and brightest) is the bright yellow-red object, next to blue star Spica, the brightest star of Virgo. On the upper right is the trapezium-like constellation of Corvus, the Crow.
