Galaxy and City Light   -  By: Babak A. Tafreshi

The night sky above the World Heritage site of Meteora. The Milky Way emerges from the light of nearby town Kalabaka in Thessaly, Greece. Bright star Antares in Scorpius is on the right and constellation Sagittarius is on the left along the bright central galactic bulge. Meteora is a historic complex of lofty bizarre monasteries which are built on (or inside) giant natural sandstone rock pillars. Some are about a thousand years old. The name Meteora means "middle of the sky" or "in the heavens above".
