Evening twilight at Lagoa das Sete Cidades (Lagoon of the Seven Cities); a twin crater of a massive volcano on the island of São Miguel in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores. It consists of two ecologically-different small-lakes connected by a narrow passage. it is the largest body of water in the region and one of the most important freshwater resources in the archipelago. Light pollution of the small village of Sete Cidades with population of under 800 people illuminates the clouds above the lake. São Miguel Island is also referred as "The Green Island". It is the largest and most populous island in the Azores.
