The Southern view of the Milky Way from the bright galactic bulge in Sagittarius and Scorpius (left) to Centaurus, Crux (the Southern Cross), and Carina Nebula on the right. Bright Red-orange star Antares (the Scorpion's heart) is near the top. Alpha and Beta Centauri, the two brightest stars of Centaurus are on the upper right next to the Coalsack dark nebula and the Southern Cross.
