In a moonlit night of November the night sky is photographed over the autumn landscape of June Lake and Sierra Nevada mountains in California. Constellation Andromeda appears in the sky. The small elongated halo in the middle (as it appears to naked eyes) is the Andromeda Galaxy (M31), a cosmic island of about one trillion stars.
