Sirius over Zabriskie Point - By: Babak A. Tafreshi
Constellation Canis Major, the Big Dog, with its notable star Sirius, the brightest star in the entire night sky, stands above moonlit erosional desert landscape of Zabriskie Point; a part of Amargosa Range in the Death Valley National Park, California. It is composed of sediments which dried up 5 million years ago—long before Death Valley came into existence.
