In a clear moonlit night stars trail above the ancient fire temple of Niasar in Iran. Captured during the Geminid meteor shower in mid-December 3 meteors also appears in the image as well the bright trail of the moon at the upper right. The fire temple was founded in the 4th century and used by Zoroastrians for centuries.
