Winged Man   -  By: Babak A. Tafreshi

Prehistoric rock art in the remote valley of Teimareh in central Iran. The valley is full of ancient petroglyphs, belong to 4500 to 17000 years ago. With over 30,000 engraved images, the valley is one of the world's most important petroglyph sites, still largely undiscovered. The picture here might represent an imaginary winged man or which is amazingly very similar to same picture sculptued by some other prehistoric rock arts in other continent. Noted by the Persian rock art expert, Mohamad Naseri Fard, who is the local leading researcher in Teimareh valley, compare this image with the the famous petroglyph in Yellowstone National Park, on the other side of the planet. You will be very surprised to see how humankind of 10000 - 12000 years ago made such an identical picture without being in contact as we are today.
